How many apartments are there, and how large are they?
Das Sudhaus has six apartments of roughly 35 to 40 sqm. They are designed for two people, with room for an extra bed or a travel cot. All are furnished with Norwegian Jensen beds.
What does a night cost?
All rates are for two people and include the local accommodation tax. They are the same for all six apartments.
At weekends and on public holidays, 1 night costs €99, 2 nights €199 and 3 nights €290. From Monday to Friday a night costs €91. Five nights (Sun to Fri) come to €455, seven nights (Mon to Mon) to €654.

How do I book an apartment?

Is breakfast available?
Yes. On request we serve breakfast at the large communal table in our breakfast room. Please let us know when booking so we can plan ahead.
Can I self-cater in the apartment?
Yes. Every apartment has a small kitchen with a fridge and freezer compartment, a ceramic hob and a microwave with grill.
Two bakeries and a supermarket are within easy reach, as are pubs and restaurants.
What is included in the stay?
Towels, bed linen and the final cleaning are included. Wi-Fi and parking are free of charge. A hair dryer and ironing board are available on request.
Is there parking, and can I charge an electric car?
Parking in the courtyard is free of charge, and there is a charging point of up to 11 kW for electric cars.
Bicycles have a sheltered spot in the courtyard, and e-bike batteries can be charged as well.
Is one of the apartments accessible with reduced mobility?
Yes. The ground-floor apartment (36 sqm), including its bathroom, is fitted out for guests who use walking aids or a wheelchair. The doors are extra wide, there is a large terrace, and the apartment has its own step-free entrance.

Is there Wi-Fi and a TV?
Yes, all apartments have a TV and free Wi-Fi.
Are children welcome?
Yes. A high chair is available, and we are happy to arrange a travel cot on request.
Can several apartments be used together?
Yes. On the second floor and in the loft, apartments are connected by soundproof doors and can be used together as needed — practical for families and groups who want to stay together.
Is Das Sudhaus suitable for longer or business stays?
Yes. If business keeps you in Schwerin for a longer period, we will find the right quarters for you. Do ask us about terms for extended stays.
What kind of building is Das Sudhaus?
The former brewing and boiler house belonged to the beer and malt factory founded around 1846 in Schwerin's Schelfstadt quarter. The listed building has been restored and modernised with great care for detail, so that the charm of the industrial Biedermeier era now meets fresh Nordic modernism.
Where is Das Sudhaus, and what is there to do in Schwerin?
We are at Röntgenstraße 20a in Schwerin's Schelfstadt quarter. The location is central: you can set off on foot to the sights, and you will not need a car in Schwerin.
Around the town, Lake Schwerin invites you to paddle, sail, fish and swim, and there is a golf course close by. For culture, the State Theatre, the E-Werk, the Speicher and the open-air stage offer programmes all year round.
